Cladding
TREATED PINE - (the renewable resource) Offers you strength, durability and resistance to rotting and insect invasion.
All treated pine used in the construction of our cubbies and forts is treated with ACQ which is an "arsenic free", child friendly treatment.
Roofing
BHP has long been the recognized provider of strength and beauty with their Colorbond roofing materials.
Our range of Cubbies are roofed in your choice of Cottage Green, Manor Red or Deep Ocean Colorbond. Other Colorbond colors available as an optional extra.
All our Cubby and fort roofs are trimmed in timber to ensure a safe play environment with no exposed sharp edges.
Verandahs and fort decks
Trimmed in flat top pickets with handrails and 90 x 90 corner posts.
Windows
All cubbies and forts come with large Perspex sliding windows, set into dressed timber frames.
Doors
Constructed of durable exterior grade ply with our signature dressed timber trim and cross brace. Door options include stable door style and Window in door.
Construction
All our Cubbies and forts are manufactured in panel form for easy DIY assembly by the purchaser. Alternatively you can make use of our Professional Installation option.
Options:
Elevations Kits, for cubbies
Elevation kits can be used to add an extra dimension to your children's play experience.
300mm Elevation: A freestanding kit, which allows for slight undulations in site without the need for leveling.
1200mm Elevation: This kit allows you to add other play options to your Cubby. E.g. 2.5m Slide, sandpit and 1.2m scramble net.
1500mm Elevation: This kit allows you to add other play activities to your Cubby. E.g. 3.1m Slide, sandpit and 1.5m scramble net.
1200mm and 1500mm elevation kits are concreted into the ground to provide safe fun for everyone.
Prior to installing your elevation kit, ensure that you have identified all underground services such as water, gas, power and sprinkler systems.
Extra Windows
Extra windows can be added to the side or back panels of your cubby or fort.
Bonus Buying
Skylights are not an option with A 1 Cubbies. All A 1 Cubbies come with a free skylight, saving you money. And to help keep an eye on the kids and let them enjoy the view while playing, A 1 Cubbies come standard with at least 2 windows, (most models come with 3 windows).
Staining/Painting
While the timbers used in the construction of our cubbies and forts are of a high durable nature, the addition of a stain will add further protection, to ensure your cubby maintains its "new" appearance.
